15 Facts About Me.

Here is a little more about me...

  1. I have 2 amazing kids. They make the worst days worth it.
  2. I am married to a man I swear was made just for me. He deals with all of my worst qualities and instead of criticizing me, helps me to be better.
  3. I love children's ministry. Seeing kids worship the Lord is such an awesome experience and it sticks with you.
  4. I also love singing. I recently made the worship team at church and cannot wait to start singing on stage. BUT I am far from being ready.
  5. I have awesome friends. They pour so much into my life and mentor me without even realizing it.
  6. I love Macs!! A year ago I would not have said that. I was Windows all the way but now I have a MacBook Pro and LOVE everything about it. Macs are so much better for music, pictures and videos.
  7. I let "stuff" get in the way of my relationship with the Lord. That is my worst quality and it has been brought to my attention a lot lately. All I know to say is that I ask for forgiveness daily and have no excuses.
  8. I hate cleaning. This stinks really bad. I am a stay at home mom who hates cleaning. I have to listen to music and sing my way through it.
  9. I have a lot of "I miss my mom" days. It's sad really. I miss who she used to be, before him. I wish talking to her made it better but it really doesn't.
  10. I have trouble letting go of mistakes I have made in the past. I ask forgiveness and then I myself don't let it go. I think about certain mistakes I have made almost daily.
  11. I have become a video editing nerd. I love it. I can spend hours looking at the same 2 minutes of video and it doesn't bother me at all.
  12. I want to be girly. I have always be a tshirt and jeans kind of girl and while I don't want to lose who I am I just need to let my wardrobe grow up like I have.
  13. I hate all the "I's" in this post.
  14. I have an awesome idea of how to decorate my new house. (when we find one.) :)
  15. I want to not only learn scripture but know it well enough to have in my heart and apply it to my life.
So there you have it. 15 facts about me.

My baby already has a testimony...(Part 1)

I knew as everything was happening that I was supposed to tell this story and tell it often. Everything (as scary as it was in the moment) happened for a reason and it was obvious that it was all being orchestrated by God. It was an emotional 5 days for me, but I am so thankful that I was able to see it for what it was while it was happening.... Carson is baby #3. We didn't plan on having another baby, but in the 2 short weeks since I had him the Lord has made it obvious that His plans are far greater than mine. My pregnancy with Carson was a lot like Toby and Ainsley's, the only problem other than me being completely miserable was my blood pressure. So, just like before I was induced at 38 weeks. Most of my pregnancy John and I debated on where I would deliver. My doctor gave us 3 options. One was where I had been doing all my prenatal care, one was where I had Toby and Ainsley, and the other was a new hospital that we had used before for ER services, but didn't know ANY...

The ache

I would have called my mom today, maybe even twice. I would have said it was to "update" her on everything going on, but let's be real, I would have whined to her. I would have told her that I was overwhelmed with taking care of the kids and trying to homeschool and taking care of John and that I was frustrated and confused that he is in so much pain and the ER said nothing was wrong and his PCM says they have no appointments and that they will call him but they didn't and he can barely walk but they keep saying it is "normal" and my house is a wreck, and my head hurts and I can't seem to pull it together long enough to get ahead because I either get hit with pain and exhaustion from the "Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension" (IIH for short) or a wave of grief...(Yes, I realize that was one big run-on sentence). Mom would have been ready with scripture. She would have asked me what I was taking in (i.e. music, movies, reading) and she woul...

My baby already has a testimony...(Part 2)

I had to get out of there. I could not sit there any more and see my baby like that.  Later that evening the NICU called to get verbal consent to do an "exchange." They put a central line in his belly button, removed some of his blood and then added saline to his blood to try to lower his red blood cell count. A couple hours later the doctor called me and let me know that the procedure went well but they wouldn't know how successful it was until the next morning.  All of that happened in what I promise felt like the longest day of my life. I was still in a lot of pain not only from delivery, but from having my tubes tied a couple hours after I had him. I woke up around 7:30 the next morning and forced myself to put makeup on. I turned on the TV and I remember feeling ok. I thought I was handling everything well. Then I started crying and didn't stop for almost 45 minutes. I have struggled with depression for years, especially postpartum depression, so this situati...
